Installation/Licensing issues of IntelliJ IDEA on my Ubuntu 22.04 (LTS)

I currently use Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS) as main OS because my Windows 11 crashed on WindowsRE. I mistakenly installed both the Ultimate and Community Editions on my PC, later on I installed ONLY the community edition through the terminal but it still appears to be the Ultimate edition (trial for 30 days). The trial period has expiered and now i've not encountered any problem my work (I'm still starting my Java journey). What should I do to install IntelliJ Community Edition on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 LTS?

Hi Nsaa19patrick , It should be fine. Starting from 2025.3, the IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate edition and the community edition are merged into one unified edition – IntelliJ IDEA. And if you are the first time using it in your machine, you will get a 30-days trial license automatically when you first open the IDE.
When the license is expired, you can continue to use the free functions (which are formerly provided in the community edition) without any license. If you feel like blocked by some functions which belong to the Ultimate part, then you can purchase a new IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate license.
