AI Assistant chat repeats the same answer regardless of new input after several messages

When starting a new AI Assistant chat session in PhpStorm, I usually ask the AI to give me a plan for a task, and I explicitly tell it not to edit the code because I want to read it myself first. After a few exchanges back and forth in the same conversation, the AI stops responding properly to new messages — it just repeats an earlier answer word for word, even if I type something completely different, like just "hi". The only way to get it working again is to close the chat and open a brand new window, but after a few more messages in that new session, the same problem happens again.
