IntelliJ App Icon doesnt get updated Follow
I've been updating IntelliJ several times through Toolbox and I noticed that the app icon is not updating on Windows taskbar.
Is there anything that I need to do to "refresh" the cache?

How are you launching the app? Is it pinned to your taskbar?
What if you start the idea64.exe directly from the install location (can be found in the app's settings in Toolbox)?
You can also try restarting the IDE via File | Invalidate Caches

Thanks for the reply.
I tried running it from start menu as well as from the Toolbox. I tried to invalidate the caches but it still having the same behavior.
What I do notice is that when I tried to run from the install location, the .exe itself is showing the old icon.
What version of the IDE is this?
If you open the .ico file, and also the idea.svg file, do actual images correspond to the icons?
Do you see the same icon in the Start menu?
this is happening to me too. the .ico file, idea.svg file and icon start menu - all got the actual images.

Could you please check if the icon uses the new image if you install IDEA 2022.2.2 as a standalone app side by side?
