Tomcat run configuraton does not start - how to troubleshoot ?

Hi,

I have transferred my project from my PC to my Laptop. On both computers, I have IDEA Ultimate 2021.2 installed. Both are running on Arch Linux.

On the PC, everything runs fine, but on the Laptop, it looks like it does not even try to start Tomcat. I'm running a tail -f idea.log and the output stops after the (successful) build process.

For transferring the project, I used rsync. So I can guarantee that the project files are identical. I also checked the configuration of "Application Servers" in the IDE settings.

I still think that I missed something in the IDE configuration, but without any log or error message, I have no idea where to look.

So here's the question: How do I troubleshoot things like that ?
