Goland 2021.2 stuck at indexing forever !

I updated my Goland licensed version from 2021.1 to new version and tried to open the existing project but indexing takes forever and never completes.  ( Goland on ubuntu )

Options tried:

- Removing the .config/Jetbrains/ and .idea folder and reimporting the project. ( It just doesn't work )

 

Any pointers / other workarounds to tackle the issue are much appreciated. Thank you.

Could you please collect the IDE logs via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data and upload them to https://uploads.jetbrains.com/, provide its ID? Are you using Go Modules or GOPATH in your project?

IDE is totally unresponsive . Is there any alternative way to collect logs ?  ( From the moment I start the IDE & import the project it stops responding ) 

Project that I imported is based on go module , but I have also configured it to be under GOPATH root.

Yes, you can take the IDE logs from the logs directory on your machine. Does it happen with other projects as well?

Thanks for the details. Could you please navigate to /home/username/.local/share/JetBrains/GoLand2021.2, backup and remove this directory? If that doesn't help, could you please download the Nightly version of GoLand via Toolbox App to confirm that it works in the same way here?

Thank you deleting the share worked.

/home/username/.local/share/JetBrains/GoLand2021.2 directory contains 3rd-party plugins. You can install and enable them back one by one, detect which one is making the indexing unresponsive, and then report the problem to a plugin issue-tracker.

Having sort of the same problems..

Can't work with Goland because it keeps indexing my project over and over again.

I tried removing the directory as mentioned above but it makes no difference.

I got the same problem here. I am currently working on WSL. Those problems start when I upgraded from 2021.3 beta to 2021.3 official.

Could you please download Toolbox App and install GoLand Nightly, then try to reproduce it again? Your case looks similar to GO-12202.
