The latest version of the Android modules source code (https://github.com/JetBrains/android/tags) is missed in github.

Answered
The Android repository (https://github.com/JetBrains/android/tags) has not been tagged since May 27, 2021.
Many version tags are missed compared to intellij-community. I can get source code for the latest version of intellij-community  from github, but there is no source code for the latest version of the android module.

The following description is excerpted from the README file of intellij-community:https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-community/blob/master/README.md

IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition requires additional Android modules from separate Git repositories. To clone these repositories, run one of the getPlugins scripts located in the <IDEA_HOME> directory. These scripts clone their respective master branches.
  • getPlugins.sh for Linux or macOS.
  • getPlugins.bat for Windows.

Note: Always git checkout the intellij-community and android Git repositories to the same branches/tags.

I've requested HTTPS protocol fix for git.jetbrains.org repositories. Please wait, will come back when it's done.

The Android repository hosted on GH is currently not in sync indeed due to technical problems. Please use https://git.jetbrains.org/ in the meantime.

Is there any way to download the compressed file for some tags from https://git.jetbrains.org?  My network is behind the proxy and git protocal is not supported.
