Latest update notification has no event pop-up or window showing changelist like before

I just noticed a little yellow arrow pointing up at the top right, so I clicked it and got this:

I don't wanna download it until I know what I'm downloading. What if there's something changing that I want to wait on, that could interfere with something I'm working on?

I used to get a pop-up at the bottom right that I could click and get a big box showing changelog. Now it seems super-secret and confidential. Well, I don't want to download a secret obfuscated update.

That's just a shortcut. You can get the accustomed update window by going to Preferences | Appearance & Behavior | System Settings | Updates > Check for updates.

Or read full release notes at https://blog.jetbrains.com/phpstorm/ before downloading anything.

I have that settings section but I don't see anything related to the pop-up "Event" at the bottom right or the pop-up box in the middle that showed version and changelog etc like before. If I knew how to make that pop up right now, I'd show a screenshot of it, so I hope you know what I'm talking about. I used to take screenshots of that pop-up so people would easily know what I'm talking about when I reference a new feature or one that was added or changed in a previous update.

What would happen if you click "Check for Updates"?

I get the pop-up at the bottom right:

Clicking that does show a pop-up box like I remember:

Thanks.
