Compare two particular revisions in changes view instead of only comparing with current?

I would like to see just the set of changes I made on a particular day, from the state the code was in at the start of the day to the state is was in at the end of the day, but not including all of the changes since then.

Using the "Show History for Folder" tool, I can see a list of every change I made in my project, sorted by date, but I can only compare them to my current set of files. Is there some way to be able to compare two of the revisions in this list to each other?

Could you please clarify: are you using any VCS system like Git, or you're talking about Local History only?

I am using Git for the project, but I am referring to the Local History feature of PHPStorm, specifically, right clicking a file/directory in the project pane, and selecting "Local History > Show History".

I understand that Local History relies on or at least communicates with Git somehow, since my git commits (which aren't done in PHPStorm) show up as entries with their correct names; but also each individual change I've saved between those commits seems to be there too.

You can shift+click a set of changes and see the result:

Looks like that's what you're looking for?
