Can't find static library with Docker toolchain - how to debug toolchain

I am using a custom Dockerfile with CLion 2021.3, cmake 3.13.4 and gdb 8.2.1

When using cmake I compile a static library and then an executable. This fails, because the static library can't be found during linking. At least this is what I understand.

Since I want to understand better why it fails - is there a way to log into the docker container after compilation fails so I can more closely observe what went wrong?

Hi Sebastian!

There is no specific way to do that from CLion.

Have you tried building this CMake project directly in Docker (without CLion)? Does it work? What does your CMakeLists.txt look like? Do you build the executable target or the project?
