Remote Development on Pycharm 2021.3 Follow
It appears that the Remote Development beta in Pycharm 2021.3 is attempting to implement the remote-ssh functionality of VS Code and I'm all for it. I've worked through the getting started and it seems I'm doing something wrong. I want to work in Pycharm, but when launching the remote instance (from the Pycharm startup window) I'm forwarded to JetBrains client (automatically) and JetBrains Client doesn't have any of my plugins or settings I'd like to use. Is this working as intended?

Hi,
JetBrains client is a separate instance, so it keeps a separate set of settings. However, the work to seamlessly sync the settings between the client and other IDEs is in progress: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/CWM-4987
