I see this grey area before every empty space. How do I remove it?

Hi Deepak - are you using a custom UI theme plugin (Material, Atom, etc.)?
Do you see the same problem if you choose e.g. Darcula as your editor theme in File | Settings | Editor | Color Scheme?
Fixed the issue. It was a plugin called Indent Rainbow. It was making it look that way. Thanks for the help!
