CLion - Startup shows window with blank editor and does not repond even after uninstall/reinstall

I am on CentOS7
I installed CLion via snap --classic
Today out of the blue, when I start CLion it opens up a windows with a file menu and just blank grey space where the editor would be and none of the controls, including the x to close the window, respond.
I tried snap remove and snap install and I get the same behavior.
What steps to perform to recover use of CLion?

Please send the idea.log from ~/.cache/JetBrains/CLion<version>/log to clion-support at jetbrains.com. Note that logs might contain private user's information (like file paths and names).
