Is MacBook Air M1 8GB enough ? Follow
Hi community, I'm considering buy the MB air with 8GB, I would like to know if 8GB is enough.
I usually use PhpStorm, Photoshop and MampPro at the same time.

This is kind of a tricky question.
The actual RAM usage highly depends on a scenario: the size of a project, plugins, modules used (like Docker or specific Quality Tools, for instance), etc. Also, Adobe Photoshop in parallel could be a significant resource consumer too.
If we stick to a documentation and address official PhpStorm system requirements, then 8GB is mentioned as a recommended value:

In any way, the life experience tells us that there is usually no "too much free memory" state :)
