I cloned a public github repository that contains 10 individual projects (C++ and CMake project). each of these projects working fine. But I want to create my own project under the same configuration. So to test a simple hello_world project, the output is giving error in CLion,
: && /usr/bin/c++ --std=c++11 -g -rdynamic hello_world/CMakeFiles/hello_world.dir/main.cpp.o -o hello_world && :
/usr/bin/ld: cannot open output file hello_world: Is a directory
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
ninja: build stopped: subcommand failed.
In CMakeLists.txt, I am sure did not do any mistake. In root CMake added, add_subdirectory(hello_world), and under hello_world folder simple add_executable(hello_world main.cpp). It worked fine in similar way with the visual studio 2022.
I am on Ubuntu 22.04 machine. I used Cmake GUI for building process. The build was success. After opening the repository, the files under hello_world was red, selecting the pop-up message "always add", the file color is green now. However, rest of the working project folder are blue in color.
I did not use CLion previously.
