constant spinning circle in corner of screen

I just recently updated to pycharm 2022.2 and there's this spinning circle that constantly blinks in the lower left hand corner of the screen below the version control tab. I can't deal with it, it's so distracting, but I can't figure out any way to get rid of it. I believe it is related to code analysis as it seems to coincide with "Processing" appearing in the upper right corner of the editor. I tried turning highlighting off in the inspector and other settings but I can't get this stupid circle to stop constantly appearing and disappearing. I can't tell you how distracting it is.

I have observed this issue previously. Found a report -- https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-51571/Status-Bar-Blinks

Unfortunately the steps to reproduce the issue are unknown at the moment, so if you know how to reproduce it and can provide the steps, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. One thing to add which is strange. If I have 2 projects open at once, the spinning circle behavior is identical on both project windows. It appears and disappears in both at the same times.

I have managed to reproduce the issue -- https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-55529/The-status-bar-message-blinks

Not sure if related to Juypter or not, but seems to be reproduced when I have a notebook open.

Hi, I tried everything you suggested and the wheel keeps turning. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and noticed that it also heats up after a minute or two https://www.wikiproficiency.com/
