In 2022.2, Git commit name appearing in Python editor

Hi All,

I just installed PyCharm Professional 2022.2 yesterday.  In projects that are under version control, the Git committer name is appearing just above each of my function headers in the Python editor.  What in the world is this?  How can I turn it off?  It is distracting to me and it will be distracting to my students.  Perhaps when we better understand the use case, we will be convinced to use this feature.  Meanwhile, I would like to suppress it.

Best,

Kevin

Hi,

Code author inlay hints can be hidden from the context menu by right-clicking on the name in the editor.
