Cannot create a scratch file on PyCharm Follow
Hello,
I have the version 2022.2 of PyCharm on Mac, and when I try to create a new scratch file on clicking on the button New Scratch File, nothing is happening, no window is asking for the langage of the file and no scratch file is created. Can you please help ?

Please try File | Invalidate Caches.
If it does not help, please logs folder zipped from ***Help | Collect logs and Diagnostic Data*** to the FTP
https://uploads.jetbrains.com/ and please let me know the filename.
Antonina Belianskaya I have this same issue. I have tried invalidating all caches and still cannot create scratch files. I have uploaded my logs and diagnostics to Upload id: 2022_11_02_nBLTUU8waTHKPzGUskJmb8 (file: pycharm-logs-20221102-160530208755141004013608.zip)
Also, not sure if this is related, but I also can't open 'Search Everywhere'.
Rolling back from 2022.2.3 to 2022.1.4 resolved both issues for me.
This has resolved for me in 2022.3.1.
