Started Pycharm during update -> now installation is broken

Hey, I was updating my Pycharm on Windows from 2020->2022 and it took quite long. After 10 minutes, I forgot about the update and clicked on the Pycharm Icon. Surprisingly, instead of not allowing me to start Pycharm or aborting the update, everything just fell apart (it claimed its reverting and cleaning up everything, but this apparently failed). Now, if I try to start pycharm I get the error attached in the image.

Is there a way to recover my Pycharm without reinstalling everything?

You can also read this as a bug report, from my point of view this is an unwanted behavior and probably happens regularly.

This may be a long shot, but searching our issue tracker for similar errors, I found this bug report https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-167988/Application-does-not-start-from-a-directory-whose-name-ends-with-an-exclamation-mark

Do you have exclamation mark or other unconventional characters in PyCharm installation path, by any chance?
