Access inspection broken?

The Scala plugin 2022.3.1 (latest IntelliJ EAP) inspection complains about many 'Access can be private' locations (variables and functions) which are false.

I did not recognize a pattern, it seems random. Almost all Scala source files are affected and turned red. Clearing caches did not help.

Anybody else with this problem?
