Have to quit Pycharm after error. Can't restart

After the latest upgrades (running on Windows 10), when my script crashes, I cannot terminate the process, nor can I start it again... the only option is to kill pycharm (from taskmanager) and restart the whole IDE... Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

If I get it right, the IDE hangs with no response.

If this is the case, please upload a thread dump (you can get it by following this guide: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/206544899) here: JetBrains Uploads, and share ID in this thread.

Also, please upload your zipped logs folder; you can obtain it by navigating to Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data.

Weird thing this morning... I started pycharm from the .bat file... and so far it has not hung on the same crashes as yesterday it would! So I can't replicate the problem...it's not ideal to start it from the command line, but what's a man to do?

Indeed this is odd; maybe you can attach at least a logs folder so we could at least have a suggestion why it happened?

Also, it might be helpful to try starting IDE as usual, turn off plugins if there are any, and see if the issue occurs again.

It finally crashed and hung.... I've got both the logs and the output.txt... The output.txt is at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g3u6eF2V_u2Ct_Rmx3LYx9YSsrvrLTTn/view?usp=sharing and the logs are at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HMcRUhEgI_mUIvVur-NFqpad6TAuumIK/view?usp=sharing,

Feedback welcome!
