PyCharm #PY-223.7571.203 Fedora Linux 37 100% single core usage when idle

After upgrading PyCharm / Fedora I am seeing the IDE maxing out a single core continuously after index building and other startup tasks are complete. The 100% utilisation of a single core is constant.

(10s CPU profile / JFR attached as 2022_12_17_wfULH34KDNdcAjZLc8R9cq )

Steps to reproduce

Start the IDE, wait for any startup tasks, monitor process

Fixes tried

  • Disabling all downloaded plugins
  • Clearing / invalidating cache
  • Re-installation

Note: The profile may slow low overall CPU utilisation however the machine has 32 cores, one of which sits at 100% usage by the PyCharm process.

This issue seems to have resolved itself for me. Not sure what was going on there, must've been system related.
