1. How do I remove the PyCharmLearningProject project at PyCharm application start, see fig 01?

2. How do remove the Version control directory mapping entry for the unregistered root for the git for the  PyCharmLearningProject project

Hi,

Please navigate to File | Close project. Then on the welcome screen, you can click on the cog button and select remove from recent to remove the project from the list. 

Removing from a VCS path shouldn't be an issue since those settings are related to a specific project, so in a new one, you need to set up a repository anew.
