How to disable snap update pending messages (Kubuntu 20.04)? Follow

I am running PyCharm community edition on Kubuntu 22.04

I frequently see notifications from snapd indicating that PyCharm will soon update and that I should close the app so as to not miss any updates (see image capture attached below). Is this something I can control via PyCharm settings, or is this just related to the snapd service? PyCharm is the only application I'm notified about in this way, so my suspicion is that something about PyCharm is making this occur, but it might just be a coincidence.
