The problem went away when I learned to delete .idea folder.  That eliminated any cached settings.  It is working now. Just doing what you wrote is not enough.  I did it many times.

I have the same problem.  I wrote a c++ package and expose it using pybind11.  I would like to step through the python script and be able to dive into the c++ code while debugging.  How do I do it?...

This problem is still happening in Pycharm 2019.2 and  ctrl+c and ctrl-v does not work.

I uninstalled django and reinstalled it and that solved the problem.   Thanks,
