I think I had to do a bit of googling around, but IIRC it didn't involve doing much more than setting the DISPLAY environment variable, and opening up windows firewall for the x server executable...

@Blackj0221 - I'm running the Linux version of CLion on Windows WSL (with Vcxsrv as my X server). I'm able to debug Rust this way, using a pure Linux toolchain. It seems to work pretty well.

Cheers Victor. It's not a huge issue but would be helpful. Perhaps when the user rolls back from an app version NN.nn you could add an app setting 'Ignore updates older than version NN.nn'
