What's in your .vmoptions?You should remove lines like -Djava.security.manager=allow carried over from the older versions.See https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/206544869.

Unfortunately, it means you will have to wait until the more recent tooling is merged into IntelliJ IDEA.
