There's no such possibility now. You can get all the completion in a script editor and then run this script, which is pretty fast.

Do you have /usr/share/groovy/bin/groovy script? If yes, then just point to /usr/share/groovy/ when creating Groovy facet

Ctrl+F in contents tree, 'Velocity'. You'll see 'FreeMarker and Velocity' section under 'Java EE and Web Development' under 'Concepts'

Running fresh Grails 1.1 application works for me and I actually have no idea what's happening. You may try to debug this script. You may also check if something else is already set up on localhost...

Do you mean navigation from 'target' word or 'someTarget' one? The first reference should work if you have Gant in your module classpath, the second one isn't supported yet.
