FWIW, I found that when adding "node" to the list of types in tsconfig.json, this error also crops up. In my case, I could remove that and the problem resolved itself in 2017.3.5.

For the benefit of others out there, I seem to have resolved the issue. Unfortunately, it appears jdk1.7.0_45.jdk on Yosemite & IDEA do not play well when handling fonts or some other part of rende...
