I'm also experiencing this problem, and after reading this thread, I don't know how to solve it. I cannot select jython-standalone.jar (the executable).

After adding other imports later, this import is automatically removed by IDEA. No problem because it isn't necessary.

A workaround is to insert this: import $ivy.`com.lihaoyi::ammonite-ops:1.0.3-34-24e8714`  and IDEA asks me to process dependency.

I'm also interested in this. With PyDev+Ecipse it works like a charm.  This is the only use of Eclipse: debug Jython code.

Thanks for the very quick and clarifying reply.  In my case they are managed by Maven and SBT, so I can remove them.

I like this idea.   As different people may have different versions of IDEA, and if your project imports cleanly from SBT, Maven or Gradle, another approach is not to have any.idea/ files under v...

What about .idea/libraries? Should I store them in the source control repository? There are many *.xml that change frequently.

When running jbr_jcef-17_0_1-linux-x64-b164.8 it works ok, but I cannot paste when the clipboard contains contents copied outside IntelliJ. Version 2021.3.1
