I've seen it happen in IDEA 13 when I try to use JDK 1.8 for a groovy project (generated from Gradle's IDEA plugin).When I change my JDK to 1.8, I get this error; change it back to 1.6, no problem.

I was wrong about the CPU thing, it's actually pegging a single core - which tells me the problem might be that it's running out of heap (my compiles are normally I/O bound - very slow disk, etc.)T...

On Windows 7, I use parameters: "/c start D:\Programs\Git\bin\sh.exe --login -i", with the working dir set to "$FileDir$".
