Well RubyMine 1.5 EAP is out and I still don't see a plugin.  I assume it's forthcoming? (I'm on 10558 now)

Well it took me all of 1 minute to see the column mode in the edit menu.Just hit Alt-Shift-Insert and you've got it!

going back to 8.0 solved the problem.  something funky about 8.0.1 i guess.
