Thanks Ivan! As you can see on the screenshot below, there are also solid yellow arrows. What are they for? Would be great to have this information documented alongside IntelliJ :)

I tried to use both JVM 7 & 8 w/ IntelliJ. The result is that the Mac freezes in both cases after some hours running IntelliJ w/ JVM 7/8. Of course I can't exactly proof that this is the reason but...

Ok, I've found the solution for all Mac users: ~/Library/Preferences/IntelliJIdea10/filetypes/Golang.xml

But in which directory? If done find ~ -name *FileTypeManager.xml*with no results.

You can toogle line nubers without using the mouse as well: Ctrl + Shift + A > type "num" > Enter
