Someone said this is breaking older angular projects?  I am on PhpStorm 2018.2 with the same error on the @latest CLI and @latest Angular(7)   I am still able to run angular fine and even completed...

made a new project and set it up and TFS is taking, so I am going to test it out from there it seems to work so far so Ill report back if it has issues.

I got it.   You just do "Move Right" instead of Vertical Split.     Not sure if this was built in or a splitter plugin, but I got it working so I am good to go!

figured it out.  I disabled the AngularJS plugin thinking that it was for v1 and not realizing it supported both v1 and v2+

that worked for me.     in PHP storm I had to goto  Settings --> CodeStyle --> Typescript --> Punctuation [Tab] --> Use [Single] quotes in [New Code]
