No problem - PyCharm has a great built in interpreter:Just click 'Tools -> Run Python Console...'.Or were you asking how to tell PyCharm which interpreter to use?

In Linux, PyCharm doesn't create shortcuts on your desktop, since there's actually no installer.You can easily create a shortcut to pycharm-2.x.x/bin/pycharm.sh from your desktop.
