As I mentioned above, in my case the “SonarLint” plugin was the culprit. Maybe check if any plugins were updated recently, and if so, disable those and check if the problem persists.

In my case, the SonarLint plugin is definitely causing the "Commit" button issue. I verified that the "Commit" button doesn't work anymore as soon as I enable SonarLint checks on commits. Amazingly...

Having to run "Inspect Code" manually every time seems kinda cumbersome. I wish there was a view like this that would update automatically, periodically.
