In case anyone stombles accross this problem, I fixed it for me like this:- In the debug configuration click on the three dots next to the broweser select- click on the browser config you are using...

I figured I have to open those files in LF for things to work out . I set the global option “LIne sepeartor” to \n, but when I open a file, the bar you just screenshotted shows RF nevertheless
