git cli available from within IntelliJ?

Is it possible to execute git cli commands from within IntelliJ? When I click the Git icon in lower left corner (alt-9), I get a limited choice of options, and a console that is read-only.

Let me see what I can share with you all. I might need to create a smaller version of the project; it's rather large.As far as I can tell, this only affects maven projects.
