:( Spoke too soon....it was good for 5 minutes and then came back.I'd attach a stack trace but jstack doesn't like the fact that this is a 64 bit machine. :-/JOe.

I deleted (or renamed) the project metadata directory (.idea) and this fixed the problem for me. of course this will also reset some of the custom settings...
