I tried enabling FSC for my fairly large multi-module Maven project, and once again I get the dreaded "Compiler internal error. Process terminated with exit code 1".idea.log is useless:2011-09-21 1...

I'm on 1407 already... This is a pretty old symptom, I've been seeing it for years but never managed to pin down a common cause.
