+1For a long time it was one aspect that was weaker (in presentation terms) than the rest of the UI.

Michael,I see it a lot when the VCS changes subsystem runs an rlog (for a CVS repository)in my case. You can see the current background running task (or at least one of them ) on the status bar.Bonny
