While the performance is better with 8.0 - it is far away from good.Scrolling using Page Up/Down is way too slow. Code completion / imports also takes too much time....

Same problem here. Scrolling is very slow...7962 works nice - just the 8.0 EAPs are nearly unusable. (Ubuntu 8.04, 2.6.24-21, Intel Mobile GM965/GL960).
