The problem we have is during testing we replace the whole project with a CVS export...sometimes PHPStorm doesn't detect the file changes properly...the tester doesn't always know that though....

Not sure about the void === undefined aspect, but the comment is saying that the return type is incorrect and marking it for you.

Ah, yes. Sorry, I thought just assumed you were familiar with PHPStorm and how it uses the PHPDoc syntax to specify parameter types (in PHP) and return types (in PHP or JS.)

I think those settings are save per project, and so you will need to create one to have the same settings across your files. It's easy. Click File->Open Directory. The directory that you open will ...
