Gotcha. The zip file created in the target/distribution folder when buildPlugin task is run is the zip file that I need to upload to the custom hosted plugin repository right?

I meant the custom hosted plugin repository. Do you have a suggestion on how to do it for a custom hosted plugin repository? I'm looking at doing the following since the Gradle IntelliJ plugin does...

Tried using... getClass().getResource("/library/somefolder").toURI().toURL()This works for both installing from a zip file and from a repository. Can't explain why.

Well, I'm trying plugin development with IntelliJ and I just want to see that the progress bar appears when I need it to. It makes me more aware that the action I wanted to happen actually happened...

I only see this when I did what you suggested...I can't get the progress indicator to show up even if I click the background task.
