Unfortunately there is no thread dump because I need to enforce the shutdown using the nt4 taskmanager. IDEA hangs indefinetely (several minutes at least) otherwise.Maybe I could extend the logging...

Not with the current UI, but with one of the next eap releases. This was announced several times in threads dealing with the new modules ui or the modules concept itself.

Two problems though,1) dialog is not modal2) project properties cannot be accessed using keyboard because of duplicate shortcuts

Problem 1 seems to be intended behaviour, useful for people with 2 displays, I guess.
