Thank you Andriy. Those are my settings but you made me look under Code Style > HTML and I found that unchecking "Wrap text" does what I need.

How do we turn this off in PhpStorm 2018? I can't find setting to turn this off and it is driving me batty.

Yes I have added a watcher but it complains about "Please set a program to run" if I add (from the video) "/usr/local/bin/lessc". I tried pointing it to the less.js downloaded from lesscss.org but ...

Not cross-platform but LiveReload seems to play nice with PhpStorm. Though you usually have to manually File > Save All to get it to refresh. Still less keystrokes than the browser reload loop.
