Hello Bond Han , thank you for your reply! sadly resetting to defaults and checking the two checkboxes didn't help.

Hello, I have the same problem in IntelliJ and turning off the option “Detect and use existing file indents for editing ” did not help.Pressing Tab and Shift+Tab jumps 4 spaces instead of 2.
