I'm pretty sure it's read-write but not 100% posiitive. I do not know what you mean when you say "editor actions are available only when focus is inside the editor"

Thanks, that did it. Also by the way, the syntax print(os.getcwd()) NameError: name 'os' is not defined did not work.

It's not a problem with hardware. I'm looking at the activity monitor and pycharm is taking up between 100 to 300% of the CPU. Is this normal? I need to get that number down.
