@Maxim, the version is 2.0.2. I suspect the issue is more with the Athena JDBC driver eagerly executing the query than DataGrip, but maybe someone has come up with a workaround to send a query with...

Reading ~/.aws/credentials works perfectly if you set AwsCredentialsProviderClass to com.amazonaws.auth.DefaultAWSCredentialsProviderChain. You might have to add the aws java sdk jar from https://a...
