Also, IntelliJ does NOT come with an embedded JDK, right? Because I've had a few people claim that now.

I think AdoptOpenJDK is a specific vendor. Does Kotlin work the same with both JDK 8 and 11?

Well, the RAM part is pretty straight forward to understand. But in terms of CPU, I read everywhere that it doesn't matter for IntelliJ unless you have a multi-module project. Guess this informatio...

Thank you. Do you by any chance know why so many Java tutorials talk about changing these environment variables and what is the difference that makes it unnecessary in IntelliJ?

Thank you. So you can switch from let's say the paid Oracle JDK to AdoptOpenJDK with a few easy configurations? There are no compatibility problems?
