I fixed this by changing line 40 in CMakeLists.txt to not pull in everything from Drivers/ but only the HAL: file(GLOB_RECURSE SOURCES "startup/*.*" "Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/*.*" "Src/*.*")
